9th Grade
Global Studies
In 9th grade, I took the Global Studies course for my history subject. In this course, I learned about ancient civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus, and China), Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance and Reformation. While going through these topics in the Global Studies course, I exhibited great performance and passion for the subject in quizzes, tests, and projects. In terms of projects, I have shown an exceptional understanding of Greece and Rome through the projects Golden Age of Greece Slideshow (attached as pdf), which analyzed essential questions about Greek Civilizations, and Roman Emperor Trading Cards (attached as pdf), which informed about the fourth Roman emperor Vespasian.

During my sophomore year, I took the Global Studies course for my history subject. In this course, I studied the American civilizations (Maya, Aztec, Inca), Gunpowder Empires, French Revolution, Industrial Revolution, Imperialism, World War Ⅰ, Bolshevik Revolution, and World War Ⅱ. While learning these various topics of world history, I have demonstrated outstanding performance and passion in the subject by acing the tests and quizzes. Additionally, I led the group during group projects such as the “Gunpowder Empires SPICE-T Chart,” in which I analyzed the Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal Empires, and the “Balkan Causes of World War Ⅰ,” in which I specifically researched the main causes of the Great War (World War Ⅰ).
11th Grade
AP United States History
In the 11th grade, I took the AP United States History course for my history subject. In this course, I studied the overall history of the American continent and the United States very specifically, from the Native American life before the arrival of Columbus to the modern-day United States in the 21st century. Since this was a rigorous course focused on preparing for the AP United States History Exam in May 2023, most activities were quizzes and unit tests for each designated period. I have demonstrated extraordinary passion and ability not only during those quizzes and tests but also during some individual assignments, such as the analysis of Washington’s Farewell Address (attached pdf), Bacon’s Rebellion, and Shays’ Rebellion.
